Clinical Case: Acupuncture for Constipation, HRV Pa.Ma

This is a nice case.  She has responded well to acupuncture with improvement in a lifelong problem with constipation.  This should be a text book example of improvement in vagal activity.  What do we see?  It illustrates the value of looking at individual treatments as well as over time.

If you look carefully, you see that electroacupuncture on 36E on 2.9.17 and on 3.6.17 shows a marked reduction in LF/HF during treatment.

Here, you see an increase in her vagal activity, (HFnorm), or rest and digest those same dates, with more improvement with 36E~ and 6Sp~ on 3.6.17.   Here you also see a nice improvement, in general, over time.  So the clinical improvement correlates with the improved vagal tone.  Nice!
