Number One: oral Hyaluronic acid, 200 mg.  Hyaluronic acid makes up the back bone of our connective tissue, like our skin and cartilage.  By age 75 we have ¼ of the amount of hyaluronic acid as we did at age 19. This leads to signs of aging in the skin and joint problems.  A recent article measured skin quality with daily hyaluronic acid and after only 28 days showed decreased wrinkle dept of 18.8% . Skin became more hydrated (+10.6%) and increase in elasticity and firmness (+5.1%). Those are significant numbers to me! Take that laugh lines!

Script :   Number 2 recommendation is oral collagen peptide in powder form 10 to 15 grams a day I add a scoop to my yogurt and fruit in the morning. It has been  shown by multiple clinical double blind trials not only to improve hydration, collagen content and elasticity of the skin, but also to improve burn wound healing time by 25%  To me, this one is a no brainer. You may think you don’t need this extra protein because you get plenty or protein in your diet. It sounds logical but the science shows that supplemental collagen really helps your skin.
